My name is Aleksandr Kolmakov. I've spent ten years making software behave under pressure. I've also spent a good chunk of it underwater. At some point those two stopped being separate hobbies.
With 10+ years as a Senior Python and Data Engineer, I've spent my career turning messy requirements or massive datasets into something useful — scalable backend architectures, MLOps frameworks, and data pipelines that survive contact with reality.
I write about the stuff that breaks, the decisions that seemed obvious in retrospect, and the hard-won lessons from building systems at scale.
I believe the most important problems for technology to solve are ecological. As a diver and marine enthusiast, I dedicate my technical expertise to projects that support environmental preservation.
